Will your NYC move be ready on move day?

A low quote is not useful if the building rejects the truck, the elevator is unavailable, or the crew discovers a four-flight walk-up. Run this two-minute check before you book.

Check the five things that derail NYC moves

Answer what you know. Unknowns are useful: they become your pre-move to-do list.

1. Does either building require a COI?

Doorman, condo, co-op, and managed buildings often do.

2. Is a service elevator or move window reserved?

A crew cannot make up time for a missed building slot.

3. Will the crew use three or more flights of stairs?

Total the flights at both ends and disclose tight turns or hoisting.

4. Do you have a loading or truck-access plan?

Confirm the entrance, curb rules, and who can meet the truck.

5. Is the move within the next seven days?

Short notice changes crew and building availability quickly.

This is a planning tool, not a quote or a building approval. Always confirm current rules with management. Read the COI guide.
